You can also view information on the location and date when the incident occurred.

You are now equipped to search for both arrest and criminal record information. That information may have even led you to realize that a person you are close to has recently been arrested. In the next section, you’ll learn the various ways in which you can assist someone in posting bail.

How To Contact a Bail Bondsman or Post Bail for Someone Arrested in Taylor County Texas

You may find out that someone you know has recently been arrested for an alleged crime; when this occurs, the judge will set a bail amount based on a variety of factors. You can even search for this type of information using the Taylor County Jail Bond Record Search Tool.

For instance, if the crime is more serious, the bail amount will be higher. As another example, if the person has a prior record or has failed to abide by court orders in the past, the bond amount may be higher as well.

Once the bail amount is set, if you’re wanting to assist this person, you have a couple of options. Depending on the arrestee’s situation – and yours – one option may be a better fit than the other. The two primary options are detailed below.

Use Your Own Funds: This is often referred to as the self-bail process. Essentially, you’re using your assets to post a bond as a pledge that the defendant will show up to future court hearings if they’re released from jail.

You can post a cash bond if you have enough liquid assets available. Alternatively, you can request a property bond. With this option, you’ll post property as collateral for a bond.

For this to occur, you must have enough equity in the property to cover the bail amount; if so, you’ll have a lien placed against your property.

Hire a Bail Bondsman: With this option, the bondsman will take care of posting the bond, and they’ll use their own assets to secure the individual’s release. However, you’ll be required to pay 10% of the bail as a fee for these services.

The bail bondsman option is a better choice if you don’t have enough funds or if you’re not confident in the defendant’s ability to comply with the court’s terms for their release. However, the non-refundable fee can be costly if you’re confident that the defendant will attend all future court hearings.

If you have questions about locating a person or where to post bail you can also contact the Taylor County Detention Center by phone at 325-691-7423 or by going to the address below:8
